I remember when Ames had one of those. Good times.

Good chance I made those donuts for ya! That was my job when I was going to ISU.

We'd often call up DaVinci's and trade a couple dozen for a pizza. They always raided our bear claws.

To be fair I'm not sure how much I actually got there. Can't remember when it closed by I want to say I was still fairly young when it did.

Don't know about donuts but for a good meal in the absolute middle of no where go to Cafe Mir in Fertile, Iowa!

Probably my favorite thing about CF is when someone asks for a recommendation for a place in a certain area, half of the posts will be people recommending places not at all in that area.

Ambrosia Donuts in Ankeny is phenomenal. Theyve got the lighter donuts, not those heavy brick types like Hurts.
