Correct, if Iowa had 3 more recruits at their typical ranking (3 star), they'd have 1470 points. Enough to put Iowa at 12th.

Seeing as those numbers in your head are skewed since the average overall rating is higher because of two recruits. The average of any more you bring in will be around the average of your middle to lower 3 star guys if that.

Over 1,600 posts on IOWA football recruiting on an ISU site while there are only a fraction of that many that seem to be discussing ISU football. No inferiority complex HERE.

I almost guarantee you they land at least one more 4 star before it's all said and done and quite possibly two more. Oliver and AVG.

I don't think Martin or Calloway end up Hawkeyes. I'm guessing Oliver commits to Oregon on his OV and Calloway goes to play for Rhoads

I used a 5.6 rated 3 star for those numbers, so if anything I was being generous toward ISU.

9 of Iowa's 16 recruits are 5.6 or higher. 1 of them is a 2 star who will still be re-evaluated and likely end up a 3 star like Mansell.

I'm just looking at what they brought in lately. I don't imagine they'll bring anyone else very good the rest of the way out

You're talking about Iowa State, right??

ISU's last two recruits were 5.6 and 5.7, one chose ISU over Louisville, Missouri and Arizona State and the other chose ISU over Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon. Iowa's last recruit was some lowly two star. Recruiting is trending in different directions at the moment
