I cannot understand anyone who doesn't choose the bowl game. If nothing else, the bowl gets us money and extra practices, which we need.

Well, to go to a bowl we would still need to beat some good to very good football teams. So Bowl.

The only real answer here is option 3. Losing to Texas, NU and Iowa and making a bowl means that we potentially beat Utah, OU, and Tech which would all be huge victories for our program given the level of success of those 3.

This is a no-brainer;

Just like last year, a bowl, any bowl = more practice time / more recruiting exposure.

Beating Nebraska and Iowa in the same year (especially when they are both ranked) is better exposure than a lower tier bowl. Plus, beating them is more fun than beating any opponent we would play in a lower tier bowl.

The extra practice and exposure during Bowl season in incredibly valuable, not to mention it guarantees that we finished at least 6-6.
