I may have to go back and re-listen, but I could have sworn that Blum made a comment that in most schools Olympic sport athlete won't be getting paid via the school and the new house ruling, but he said "at Iowa State they'll pay MBB, WBB, football, and in Iowa State's case, wrestling". I think it was around the 20 minute mark on Sundays podcast.

Is this true? Will the wrestling team be getting a small piece of that pie?

Pretty sure the payouts to athletes starting July of $20.5 million per institution can go to any athlete in any sport sponsored by the university including Olympic sports. It is at the discretion of the athletic department to determine who gets paid. NIL will be separate and will only be by a non university entity for advertising purposes only and subject to approval by a clearing house.
