What was the significance of CPR shouting out to Donnie Duncan at the end?

Duncan really wanted to beat Iowa when he was here. I think he and Fry didn't like each other when they were at OU and SMU. Maybe they butted heads in recruiting down there.

Did we wear the "Beat Iowa" jersey's under Duncan? Not that I think this was directly related, just do not remember if it was during his time at ISU.

Oh it wasn't, it was under Bruce. Nevermind.

Sounds like he and Rhoads have a good relationship from what I'm seeing on twitter and it was just him giving Duncan a s/o

Yep. I bet Duncan was giving him crap about having a better win percentage. I think this one puts Rhoads back on top.

Hate to hear he is having health problems.
Here he is with David Archer in Iowa City in 1982.

Remember that day well. My parents went to the game and my brother and I watched on TV. We lived in CR and, to give you an indication of the times, the game was not on TV locally! My dad put a giant TV antenna on our house so we could get channel 5 in Ames. We watched the Cyclone win on a 13" TV with a snowy picture, but clear enough to see and hear what was going on. If I recall, the Cyclones scored 19 unanswered after an early pick-6 by Archer.

I'd just as soon forget the next 15 Cy-Hawk games after that one.
