What is the Difference?

I am not trying to start a big argument with anyone, but I would like to understand why people do not feel as if he has done the exact same thing that Chizik did. When Chizik left I was no where near as upset as most were, and I feel like I am a little more upset that Sanderson is leaving than most, either way I understand why they both did it. Chizik left for his dream job and I can understand that, Sanderson is leaving to a place that he thinks he can turn into a powerhouse. I think they both did what they believe was best for them at that time. I guess I am interested in finding out other peoples views of the different situations.

I'm not speaking for anybody else, but I'm sour at Chizik because he lied to us straight up. He promised us that he's not going anywhere. One day later he is telling us he is leaving.

Cael is a different story, he just left. He didn't lie to our faces.

I think a lot of it has to do with the pride we have in that program, and the belief that Cael was the kind of guy who was going to see it through at ISU considering his history here. I don't think anyone could have ever foreseen this happening.

I'm not upset with Cael for reasons I've stated in the other 3 billion threads on this same topic.

I guess that main reason I was never as upset about Chizik is because he went back to the place where he started and loved, Sanderson is leaving the place he came from to go to a place that he has no ties to. Both had good reasons for leaving but to me I feel Sanderson should have had more loyalty to ISU than Chizik.
