Good beef is the best. Very few meats can you just put salt and pepper on and have it come out tasting so good.

But if you are talking in best for the cost, chicken and pork are far superior. That's why we eat more white meat than red.

1 Beef (Ribeye, Tenderloin only)
2 Turkey - A turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and stuffing dinner is right up there with beef if it's roasted right.
3 Pork Ribs - mmmmm
4 Fish - Mahi Mahi and Tilapia are my favorites
5 Chicken - I don't do plain chicken so I get creative with marinades and sauces to make this good.

Anything else is not worth bothering with.

Beef is probably my favorite, steaks, hamburger, roasts, ribs. The best thing about pork is bacon. I have had a bacon type product that is smoked, cured beef brisket called brisket bacon and it was pretty good.

I used to eat a fair amount of rabbit in college, me and some friends would go over to the public hunting area by Boone hunting pheasants and always end with rabbit instead, skin them, rinse them, roll in flour w/salt and pepper and pan fry, they turned out pretty good.

Beef by far, but chicken is the most versatile IMO. But, in the long run, all of it is the best.

Side story- GF and I had a ham a couple weeks ago and I discovered that a good ham might actually be better than bacon, and I LOVE bacon. Thoughts?

I'm probably in the minority but I prefer to cook a ham slowly with pineapple juice/chunks and brown sugar. I score it and turn it over half way through to get the pineapple and brown sugar inside it a bit.

Instead of that chewy rubbery meat you end up with more of a stringy meat (like a pot roast texture) that is yummy-lishious. We pretty much have that for every holiday. Including tomorrow, as everyone prefers it to just about anything else.

Chicken easily.

Oh, and whatever they put in Tacos at T Bell

I feel like we are missing a whole wide range of sashimi. Had some fresh yellowtail on a fishing trip this year, it was pretty freaking delicious. I think the fish was still alive when I had mine. I still feel kind of bad about that, but it was so delicious.

That said, pork is the correct answer due to bacon, followed closely by beef for utility: steak, burger, JERKY. Although, pork jerky is also very good.

My parent's want to smoke a turkey tomorrow which I was excited about. Then I found out they don't want to do a whole turkey, so they are just doing to breast...

NO DARK MEAT, might as well not even have thanksgiving.

It can still be done well. A good rub, a tasty injectable marinade, and plenty of smoke will still turn out an A+ meat.

Beef (steak, prime rib, burgers)
Chicken (wings, fried, the 1000 things you can do with the breast)
Pork (bacon, bacon, & bacon)
