Might be a better game than last years 40 point shellacking in St. Paul. Local HS coach Tara Siefert (Gunderson) commented after the game that the Tommies were "not ready yet" and were maybe a couple of years away from competing at the Div 1 level.

They might be improved over last year though. They did beat Northern Illinois on the road. Northern Illinois lost to Iowa at Carver but did not get routed. Tommies are 3-0.

I do like the idea of playing more local regionally local like like this. Sort of keeps the money in the neighborhood and helps out some of the schools. Also, the top half of the Summit can have some decent teams. Not saying St. Thomas is there but that's where they want to be.

Tidbits:
Faith Feuerbach is little sister of Kylie Feuerbach (Cyclones & Hawks)
Amber Scalia is little sister of Sara Scalia (Gophers & Hoosiers)

What the Tommies page is saying about the game and their team:

That's quite a complete write up.

Agree, the Tommies staff does a good job. I really liked their ticket staff. They were super helpful in setting up a special ticket link for the ISU fans when I contacted them last year.

They might be improved over last year though. They did beat Northern Illinois on the road. Northern Illinois lost to Iowa at Carver but did not get routed. Tommies are 3-0.
They also beat Milwaukee in OT at home. (Third win was a blowout over D3 Crown College, so it doesn't really matter.)

Milwaukee also lost to Butler in OT (at home). Butler beat Indiana and blew out Chicago State. Long story short, it does seem like the Tommies have a pulse and ISU can't sleepwalk through this one.

Top scorers so far are Jade Hill (21.7 ppg) and Jo Lengbehn (17.0 ppg). At 6'2", Lengbehn is only one of two players on the roster over 6'0: 6'3" Alyssa Sand is a rotation player off the bench.

Pretty good shooting inside the arc (54%) and pretty bad shooting outside (27%). But it's a pretty small sample size at this point.

Their three best players from last season all returned (Hill, Lengbehn, Amber Scalia), and they appear to be their three best this season as well. So while they have may have improved a lot from last season, it's not because of any star newcomers.

We just saw that, too. She’s not playing tonight.

Worst TV broadcast on ESPN+ I have ever seen. No score, half the players are out of the picture all the time. It’s like they are way too zoomed in. Terrible.

Looks normal to me. Regular view and with score/time board at the bottom. Do you have something set to an odd zoom or aspect ratio on you TV? I'm streaming through Firestick via the ESPN app.

Kenzie Hare is looking like an experienced upperclass player tonight.
On the opposite side, I feel for Lily Hansford. She is off to a rough start to the season. I believe she is only player to not score yet and is 0-12 (all threes) on the season, when she shot 45% at Oregon State last year.

Not much of a game, seemed like ISU was working more on getting the ball inside, more than I have seen this year. Crooks and Williams played well, guards hit a few shots, but we were not shooting a lot of 3's tonight, at one time in the 4th we were 4/10. Very laid back crowd, and plenty of empty seats, but it was a Thursday night. Told my wife, better than sitting home with the dogs watching the NFL game, and she agreed. Really looking forward to getting into conference play and see us pressured a little bit.

Early in the year but I think Ryan may be second in nation in assists per game after that.
