We get the win 3-1. Thank you to the seniors. Mackenzie Bigbee, Tory Knuth, and Caitlin Nolan. Lots of great volleyball played. Great careers, though a couple of them got limited by injuries. I never thought Nolan would be very good, so I'm very glad she proved me wrong. Proving why I don't scout. Lots of accomplishments, hopefully some to get. Win at CSU.

Nice program for them, and a decent crowd for a Tuesday.

Andie, I hope you enjoyed your time at BU. You ended 4-17 in sets against ISU, although sat some of them. So, it probably wasn't about the volleyball.

I was also a Nolan skeptic.

I eat that crow happily, hope she makes 1st team and breaks her own record.

The senior recap for Bigz made me sad - I had forgotten just how much of a powerhouse she was the first two years.

Hey, were you at the senior event last night?
That was the first time I'd heard about her getting a blood clot after the knee surgery. Gosh, that was an awful way to end a season, let alone collegiate career.

I know CJL had mentioned something about complications and maybe even a blood clot at one of her weekly media things a few weeks ago.

Kind of ironic that Andie was there for what could have been her senior night. You right, I don't think it was volleyball that lead to here transfer. Tori was a redshirt,so didn't come in with the class. Morgan and Natalie redshirted as seniors, so they have a year left.

The sixth player in that high-rated class was Jenelle Hudson, who took over for the AA Landwehr at setter. A hard act to follow, she transferred to Long Beach State and was the Big West Conference POY last year. She is averaging 10.7 assists per set this year.

Hudson was sick of not being in California from my recall. Andie has strong Religious convictions and she needed to be with others of like mind.

I'm still bitter about Andie Malloy. Something has to be messed up in her head that she essentially walked away from volleyball WHEN SHE WAS SO DAMN GOOD AT IT.

Andie didn't walk away from volleyball, she's playing at Baylor! And was first team all big 12 last year!

klamath was a bit over-dramatic in that post. But Andie may have wanted and gotten her wish to back away from top tier volleyball. In addition to wanting a faith-based environment, she might have burned out on top level sports as some kids do.

I would agree with the sentiment that she has stepped aside from the track that she was on. I don't know if her stats have her on track for all big 12 again. But watching her play this year, she did not appear to have the same impact on the game. Still fun to watch, still talented, but not at the level of someone who continues to challenge herself and improve.

She looked like she was having fun, so she may be doing what she wants to do.
