The team has devolved into a complete mess. Defense that is as leaky as Swiss cheese at critical times, no offensive line, far below average qb play, and lousy management. Time for some major overhauling. For starters I’m not sure even a good line would make Cousins a franchise qb. Can they overcome that error or is being stuck with him going to mean "we suck" becomes a common phrase for three years?

Hopefully there's a steal late rounder or UDFA rookie that can falls into Minnesota's lap here in the next year or two.

And hopefully they are O lineman.
Unfortunately, they have a lot of holes and the schedule is brutal next year.

There will be some big names moved this offseason, Griffin, remmers, maybe linval, rudolph. Bryzienski is a master st the cap and most can be moved with little dead money

Remmers is $6M of dead money or something like that. I'm guessing nothing happens there.

I'd be shopping Rhodes to see if you can find a sucker to take him. Richardson's $8M I'm guessing is already spent on extended contracts. Rudolph is going to be cut or signed for significantly less. Griffin is only $1M dead money so they may cut him.

I think Richardson and Barr will be the only two significant starters who won't be back.

Don't think Linval is going anywhere. Zimmer has commented more than once how important the nose tackle position is to his defense and how good Linval is at that position.

As an Eagles fan, I simply say thank you.

As a Packers fan, I simply say welcome to the basement.

Eagles fan here too. Great day to be a #FlyEaglesFly fan!
Knowing that the biggest thing between your team and the playoffs is Trash Cousins made things less anxious.

Based on what? The O line was crap all year, so what are you basing this on?

Bottomline: vikes had zero business dropping 84 guaranteed on ANY QB without first getting an offensive line in place.

As a long time bears fan the bears have been in Minnesotas spot today. Lets remember what today was. The bears played for nothing today completely vanilla on offense and defense. The bears showed zero frills today and rested some of its best players. Minnesota was in a do or die game lose and go home. The bears were more intense from the start and did what ever they wanted to. Thielen begged Cousins to be a man and play. Cousins said no way i need 10 seconds to throw someone block. Aikman was merciless on Cousins today. That guaranteed contract was a disaster when it was given and haunt the Vikings forever while the rest of the NFL has to explain to every free agent why they wont get a fully guaranteed deal. Total disaster. Switched a free case keenum an absolute ball out dawg. for the 30 million dollar Tim Man. Talk of Zimmer stepping down tonight it will be bad for a bit.

Green Bay will be interesting. I think Rodgers is wearing out his welcome in GB a lot of fans are wondering about his injuries and his season record and lack of playoff record. Lets not forget probably the most unliked player in the league. I have never seen a guy with so many ex team mates ripping him apart. When GB goes back to pre don majikowski it will be glorious 30 years of nothing. looking forward to it.

1. The Bears didn't rest anyone until the game was in hand.
2. No 3 year contract will ever haunt a team "forever"
3. Keenum would've been cheaper but nowhere close to free. Keenum has also been terrible this year, worse than Cousins in pretty much every stat.

You sound like a 10 year old trying to talk crap

A win by the Vikings today only would have delayed the inevitable by one game. Even if they win today, there was 0 chance they go to CHI and beat them when they’re actually playing for something.

Better to lose now, get more egg on the face, and force some changes. If they win, the narrative becomes “we were a playoff team again.”

allen robinson didnt play and Eddie Jackson the pro Bowl safety sat today. you know nothing
If you ever thought this game was in question you know zero.
If you cant understand this game meant everything to the vikings you also know nothing.
If you cant understand that cousins has trouble in big games you also know nothing.
The vikings gave the first the first fully guaranteed contract EVER. Your GM and Owner know nothing. Tell me different. The vaunted vikings defense was nowhere today.
This game meant zero to the bears zero. Vikings got lucky with Thielin besides him not much talent that I saw on the field.
