Can't say where and why, but I get to have lunch with Willie Mays and Ernie Banks next week. Being a die hard Cubs fan I can't wait to shake Ernie's hand.:notworthy:

Congrats! Meeting historical legends is always fun. Not a huge baseball fan, but you get to meet 2 of the greats.

I heard a story one time that Willie Mays was very meticulous in his personal grooming...would spend hours doing his nails, etc. Also, he was always a very spiffy dresser back in the day.

Wow, I am envious of your opportunity. I grew up a big Willie Mays fan in the 60s. My first baseball game was Giants vs Cubs at Wrigley when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I remember crying when the Giants lost and Willie didn't hit a home run. Later, after Willie retired I became a Cubs fan by default because their games were always on TV. I did have the opportunity to meet Ernie Banks outside of Wrigley one time. He's a very gracious man and a great ambassador for the Cubs and baseball in general.

Congrats and enjoy yourself. Sey Hey and let's play two!
