And their best win of the season is beating us.
That's a pretty myopic take since Maryland is a Top 10 team.

Watched the end of that game. Very disappointing that Brenda couldn't find a way. How down does the Big 10 have to be for Iowa to be in first place at this point in the season? Bluder is certainly the most modestly-talented coach in that league. Who else could be a D-1 coach since 1990 and have advanced past the NCAA second round exactly 1 time? Likely that team will make it a second time this year, but I would do a little dance if they choked (again).

Coaches and AP writers polls mean squat and with no impact seeding, why waste time on them?
Maryland is 16/17 in the RPI, non-conference RPI 24, SOS 76, non-conference SOS 194.
ISU is 10/11 RPI, non-conference RPI 9, SOS 3, non-conference SOS 12.
I think that selection was made before Maryland's loss at U'o'I.And yet when they announced their first 16 the other day Maryland was the third #3 and we were a third #4.![]()
Typical Iowa winter weather...Probably be my luck you have a big foot blizzard this weekend. Last year I began to see snow on the ground in NE Kansas and it stayed about the same till I crossed the Iowa line. It was a little deeper then all the way to Des Moines, but when I turned north to head to Ames there was three times as much snow. It was even affecting the traffic on the road some. maybe I'll call up Al Gore and get him to dial up some of that "global warning climate change" for the weekend".

And before we lost to CU. They are probably still a #3 and we are likely a bubble #4 with an attendance card to play which is still worth a lot.
If ever there was a "must win" for ISU, it is @OU. That would be a very bad loss.
Oh yes we were having 80 degree weather and we kept hearing about the big blizzards. I was out riding my Spirit lake Indian during that time. A few farmers got heir planters out and oiled em up, thinking about starting a little earlier than normal. Usually plant corn around here between 24th of Feb.and 10th of March.Typical Iowa winter weather...
Didn't Texas have record heat at the same time especially its Central... https://www.kvue.com/article/weathe...stin/269-e1ba6f39-1875-4076-a17e-8454b508f16a
