The difference between this year's team and that team are the guards. If you have great guards and can have some solid pieces around them you will be in great shape. Guard play can really carry a team a long ways.

Big men can carry a team a long ways too.
That's interesting. The 2004 team was a backcourt oriented roster. This year's team is the opposite.
I'd say that the 2004 team had more all around talent but if the two would play, I don't know anyone on Wayne's team that could really challenge Craig. He's just too athletic for Jackson or Jared. When you toss Gilstrap in the mix, that'd create all sorts of match-up problems.
Curtis and Will would really pour it on this year's guards though.
It's a toss up in my opinion but if I had to choose, I think I'd take this year's team.
I actually think it was Homan that made the difference that year. Stinson and Blalock were great, but having that solid big man made a huge difference for them.
Why do so many forget about Homan's play that year. He was the difference maker.
Jared Homan would do terrible things to Hamilton in the low post area.
As would Brackins to staple/vroman
Has Brackins ever done terrible things to someone who had a decided strength advantage on him?
Wasn't he going up against Cole Aldrich when he went for 42?
