This year's team compared to the 04-05 NCAA team?

Blalock, Stinson and Homan would killll this years squad.
homan would need to come out and get a blow bc ham would lean on him 4 10min stright and they wouldnt have any1 to come off the bench so that would take homan out of it in the 2nd half bc he would get lazy. stinson and blalock wouldnt do so hot bc they would have to play D for 30sec. at a time and do that all game bc coach mac would slow the game down. for the 04-05 team to win they would have to play stinson blalock and homan 35min. and they just cant play that much bc of the style we play and the players we have this year. the starting 5 is better for 04-05 but they had no bench at all so this years team would make a big run in the last 15min. of the game and win.

I should probably remind you that those three lost to McKeown, Jacobson, and Crawford from UNI in 2004....

The same can be said for the current guard court...

The '04 squad wins 8 of 10 matchups.

So far, a Brackins team hasn't sniffed .500 in B12 action. That needs to happen before you can claim this team is better.

I will say that it is good to have some tourney expectations again, let's hope we get it done.

With respect to all of the-what if's, maybe's and however's-when this current crop of Cyclones win in places like Austin and Lawrence......we'll talk.

I love how we only remember the wins of past teams, and remember the issues of our current teams.

That 04-05 team got killed by UNI, lost to Iowa, went 1-7 in the month of January (including a loss at home to CU), lost at home to Nebraska, and lost to TTech in the tourney after beating them during the season.

That 04-05 team should get credit for making the tourney, but it was just weird - we won 7 games in a row after a 6 game losing streak.

And WB's stats as a soph are eerily similar to one DG...

They didn't just lose...UNI played "name that score" on them despite having far, far less talent.

that was the famous Mac / Morgan yelling at each other game, I was sitting court side behind the Panthers bench at the UNI Dome, courtesy of my friend Mac.....:wink:yes it was lopsided UNI up by as many as 30+, won by 17....

This, that kansas game was just simply amazing...I can still see Stinson's tear drop
