Dilly dilly!
Everyone trying to turn this into something should be embarrassed, I mean paper bag over your head with a dunce cap on top embarrassed.
The problem is they are trying to publicly crucify a fan who literally did nothing wrong what so ever. Do people not realize there is a person at the other end of this who may be effected? This kid does not deserve to be the scapegoat for the fact they have a crappy basketball program...
I still love not one Hawk fan has chimed in on here yet. They know it's an unsupportable position left for anonymous Twitter d-bags.

First time I've seen this angle of the incident, after seeing this I'd say it was totally uncalled for and dangerous.

The assasin didn’t do nearly enough damage. (If I need the our pirate friend shame on you.)Gray shirt kid is our secret assassin, waiting in the shadows for a player to fall into his trap, and then he strikes.
Some HOT TAKES over at HawkeyeNation about this "cheap shot"
"It's simple, if the clown athletic department won't do anything to improve the situation Iowa should refuse to play anymore games there. He had the hot hand, and it looked like that was an intentional cheap shot to take him out of the game. This should not be allowed to happen."
"Like I've said 1000 times, don't give me this "Ames and Iowa City aren't that different" crap. Plenty of aggie troglodytes up there. This is merely the latest example."
"Thug life, just like Prohm's players, a bunch of gangsta's. ISU just plain sucks, delusional freaks"
Three words (if the question was posed here):I'd like to end this thread right here...you can't make this up. An actual thread started...

Their football fans were known for throwing cigarrette butts at players in the Fry years.
Libel by one, and slander by the other. There are two people in the wrong in all of this, Nick Trankamp employee of Central DeWitt Community Schools and Travis Justice employee of KXNO.
Three words (if the question was posed here):
OH HELL NO
When I first saw something about this I was really worried.
Then I saw the video clips. Now I just wonder how someone like Travis can be so pathetic.
A player goes flying into the stands towards legs and you are upset a fan bends over and puts two hands on the player with little to no force in reaction to the collision. If anything KXNO should give Travis a suspension for a couple days for going after the kid/fan (I don't actually think this, buts its less of a stretch than saying the fan should be barred from Hilton).

Certainly not Pemsl for going hard after a rebound and ending up in the stands (hopefully his injury ends up not being serious) and none of the students standing in the first row.
Travis was whining about how Iowa lost, we didn’t win. What a waste of blubber.
In all honesty, its not getting that much traction on the Iowa Rivals page. Few responses, and many of those who are responding are brushing it off or defending the kid. There are of course a few irrational posters, and one who appears totally off the rails when it comes to any argument involving Iowa basketball. But for the most part the Hawk fans, on that site at least, appear to be uninterested or acting reasonable to me.
My biggest beef is with the guy who sent the original tweet. Its obviously edited to make the kid look as bad as possible. Trying to publicly humiliate the kid even had it been intentional would be totally over the top, but doing so in a misleading way when its, as worst, ambiguous, is just plain wrong. And this is a guy who is supposed to understand and work with young people?
