Good press for us, but (nit-picking here) why are Texas and Oklahoma only worth a 3 in his "visiting team quality" ratings, while Ohio State, Michigan, Mich State and Penn State warrant a 5? I seem to remember Oklahoma being in the playoffs the last two years and I don't recall seeing any of those others.

I think it's because we only get one of those per year. So we basically both have to be highly ranked mid season. Instead of maybe having a few teams that could possibly be highly ranked.

Saturday, November 16 College Gameday in Ames for the game vs. Texas would be a good choice if both teams are doing well.

I wonder where they would put the stage. Next to Scheman? In the new green space on south side of the stadium? Up by the union? Ah, hell, I'm getting ahead pf myself again. Let's just crush the hoks first and worry about Lee Corso if he shows up.

Also, why am I having a hard time figuring out the SB Nation photo posted for the "Any trip by a highly ranked team to Ames has the potential to wind up like this:"

ISU vs. OSU on the scoreboard, but that was a night game in 2011 and before the SEZ addition (and we haven't beat them at home since then). Must be a photoshop job.

Isn't the only field storm since the SEZ was built the demolition of WVU last season when Holgerson complained?

ISU-West Virginia is nicknamed the Riot Bowl?

Certainly not the official nick name, but I've heard it called it that many times on CF. Somewhere on the internets there is even a "trophy" a plastic gas can with riot bowl wrote on it if I remember right.

Just a guess...TCU vs ISU 2017 and OSU was the next game on the schedule?

I think it'd be awesome and I don't really understand the downside of having them come. Pick an early-ish game with beautiful fall weather, and have the country watch us knock another Top Team off.
