I'm surprised the Grammy's are allowing this, since it's such a lame song. :jimlad:

On a side note, I'm not really enjoying the William Shatner version of this song...

I taped the last part of the show just for that song....good on the grammy's, not so much at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Now that Coldplay won the grammy for best song it will be interesting to see how Joe Satriani's plagiarism lawsuit turns out. Do they have to return the award if the song is proven to be plagiarized?

I know what you are talking about. Seems like there was another band in the mix too? If you remember The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" from 8 or 9 years ago, that hook was taken from the Rolling Stones. They let them sample it, but then when the song finally came out they declared they used too much. So, now Mick Jagger and Keith Richards get the credits and The Verve basically have not received 1 dime from that huge song.

Yeah, they are trying to say Cat Stevens and some other band I've never heard of had similar songs prior to Satriani. I don't hear the similarities like I do with Satriani's song though.
