You know, someone may have posted this already but with all the negativity here I can't stand to read all the posts so I'm gonna speculate. Here goes: Lucca has already been talking with an agent back home about a pro career there. Not concrete plans ... maybe next summer, maybe next year. Then boozer has his year ending injury. ACL, yuck. You all saw it, he really didn't do a yeck of a lot to it. We think its a popped out kneecap; nope an ACL. BAM, he's done. Then guess what? Lucca is practically tackled from behind at the end of the Neb game and comes up hobbling. I saw it and anyone who watched probably saw it too. He was hurting and I was thinking ... god no, not another knee injury. Well I bet Lucca was thinking the same thing. He's pretty darn slow already ... not quick enough for the NBA and even questionable for overseas. The last thing he needs is a bum knee. So he makes a call, and finds out they will take him immediately. So he decides right then and there to do it. As he said, he might not get another chance. So he's gone.
Yeah, its speculative but makes sense to me. I for one won't bad mouth him. Yeah, the timing is **** poor for us. But we got to make the best of it and move on ... that's what Mac is doing right now and I for one will support whatever he decides.
For all you people out there complaining. I say either get on the ISU bus and ride where it goes OR get off and start walking. I'm riding. See ya.
