Source: K.J. Bluford is transferring

I think the staff has given up on him. Had some potential to be a force in the post when he came in, but just seems to be lazy and he acts like he just doesn't care to play. He does seem to care about the team though as he is cheering the team on from the bench. I doubt he transfers.
 
Bummer that KJ couldn't get in the rotation here. He was a curious pick-up from the beginning, just seemed duplicative of some guys we already had. Hope he hits the ground running elsewhere.

Unless he improves quite a bit, I think his playing time will probably only go down next year. We pretty much only go 3 forwards deep this year, with Edozie playing spot minutes. Next year we'll go 4 forwards deep (Hogue, McKay, Nader, Georges), not even including Edozie. Will he be on the team? Who knows. That's his decision to make. But he's a Cyclone and deserves the same support from fans as everyone else
 
I don't know. Does PG go somewhere for 1 year after all this time, when you really haven't shown a huge drive to earn minutes anyways, unless there's alot of misinterpreted perceptions going around. Perhaps he'll just get his degree (nothing to sneeze at) and continue to be a good teammate? Maybe basketball isn't his priority now. Wouldn't have a clue , though, as to all what he's gone through or what is all on his mind.
 
I sat in front of his mom and dad and family at the Michigan game.............. very nice people.

he really did look like a Mcgee type of shooter in the Capital league so Im kind of shocked he didnt get more playing time here but where ever he goes he's going to put up some crazy stats scoring wise.
 
I half expected it. Junior w/o playing time usually leads to a transfer. It does open the door to us being able to land both Cunningham and Vaughn... so there is that.

If he wants to be on the team he will. He seems to be happy.
 
Why worry about the scholarship situation. Fred has a plan he always does. He will get he best player he can get his hands on.
 
Unfortunate for KJ, but the fit just wasn't good. On a team that ranks at the top of the nation in assists, KJ was a black hole. He seemed to be a shoot first/pass second kind of player.

Seemed like kind of an emergency pickup to fill out the roster after the Maurice Jones 1/2 transfer ended. I feel bad for that kid, seemed like he got bad guidance. ISU came out better in that they picked up Kane while Jones still hasn't been cleared to play as practicing with ISU was considered a transfer by the NCAA.
