This is a guy who had to spend the entire summer away from ISU, the basketball program, and all his teammates at some place where he was supposed to get his life back on track (whatever that means).
Basketball is more than likely one of the least of his issues. And Prohm has been giving him every opportunity to straighten his life out both on and off the court. But at some point Cameron has to choose to do it himself.
The foul trouble has always been an issue for him. There's a lot of explanations for why that might be. If he isn't in shape, then he's probably out of position a lot and tries to make up for it by swatting at the ball a lot. Or if you are in good shape, you just aren't taking to the coaching you're getting and do whatever you want on the court instead.
Or you just completely lack discipline, which I think might be a large part of it. He believes he can block every shot, so he tries to every time, no matter if he's in foul trouble already or not? If you already have 2 fouls in the first half for example, you can't still try to block every shot, you have to have better discipline than that.
I just hope he can get everything in his life figured out, both on and off the court. His potential in basketball is unlimited if he can figure it all out. I'm rooting for him.
