So it's going to be cold in Okoboji this weekend

What a freaking joke. I can't wrap my mind around how hot it's been lately and now Fall makes an early appearance this week. We make a family trip to Okoboji every August and this is the third year in a row with CRAP weather; this one being the worst yet. Need some ideas of what to do since I'm probably gonna skip swimming. I'm sick of Arnolds Park and the Dickinson County Museum. I will for sure be visiting West-O (again) and bringing home some Ameschlagers. Thinking about bringing some bikes and hitting the Spine Trail and Nature Center. Any other ideas besides abusing my liver?

I was just up there a couple weeks ago. Still a lot of docks that are unusable because of the flooding. They also had a pretty big raw sewage discharge while the water was way up. I'm not sure there's enough beer at the Barefoot to get me in that water yet.

I was looking at the water quality on the DNR site and it showed the water quality as suitable for swimming.

Boji Nites, The Throwing Post, Okoboji Summer Theater, Round Lake Winery (MN), golfing??
Ah- disc golf maybe. I'll look that up.

Nah. It needs to be at least 80 degrees for me to enjoy swimming.

There was still poop in there pretty recently. I’m giving it a little more time. Our place is on Millers Bay so there’s already more yellow water than I’d like there.
