SDSU attendance predictions

same here, and we'll all be wearing the same colors, we just LOVE conformity for some reason. :cute:
btw - I just noticed I never made a prediction. I'll say 44-45K will pack the Jack
My wife graduated from S. Dakota State and still has family that lives in Brookings (her Uncle was the Mayor for years). I've also gone with her to "Hobo Days" several times over the years and I've got to know many of their fans.
My observation: This is the Jacks' first shot at a BCS school and they're going to travel huge. They use to be in the same conference (NCC) with the North Dakota school that beat Minnesota last year and they want the same kind of respect. I think SDSU will bring over 5000 fans and Jack Trice Stadium will be rocking on the 28th.....close to 50,000 in attendance.

My wife and I will be there!! I work 3rd shift, and my employer has worked with me on this 2 years in a row.
I agree. I think at least 5,000 people will make the trip from South Dakota. As long as weather isn't an issue, I predict 49,000.

I for one am driving up from Austin TX and taking 3 days off work to make it to this game! I have to say that it sucks relying on "fringe" fans to fill our stadium, I can't wait for the day when the stadium is packed with die hard fans who stand the entire game and make the Jack one of the hardest places in the country to play at. As for the attendance prediction: 45K is all I would expect, anything over that and I'll be really happy with our turnout.

If Thursday games gets us on TV - then do it. I know some of you can't, but take off Friday if you are coming from 2 hours +.

Jamie has tickets sales up! Not everyone will be there though. Think of it like overbooking...
Ok...I just always wanted to here 79,500 announced for and ISU opener. I can dream right.

No offense, but that's a very ignorant statement. Coming from somebody whose whole family lives in or is from South Dakota I can tell you there are a lot of jack rabbit fans in SD.
Also even more ignorant because many people say that about ISU.
Obviously they have a significantly smaller fan base/stadium (i think their all time record was like 16K) but I suppose it's probably the largest university in South Dakota. It would be odd not to have a D-1 football school in state. I don't expect them to bring a lot of fans, but you never know. This could be for them what UNLV is for us...
