School traffic zones

I don't have kids of my own, but I make sure I drive slower to match the speed limit when the lights are flashing by the schools. So what's the deal with the vehicles (driven by PARENTS) pulling out of the school that end up speeding through the school traffic zones??

Everyone believes that those laws are for others who don't "get it". They feel since they're in that environment almost daily, they understand when the rules do/don't apply.

What's truly sad is that a lot of those people are the ones trying to do ten things at once, and talk on their cell the whole time. Cell phones really are a convenience, but when it comes to phones and transportation, it's a killer combination.
