I really liked this podcast. Some behind the scenes stuff that is very interesting. His book sounds like it will be worth the read also.

One beef I've got. Stansbury seems to place much of the blame on the NCAA for forcing players to play in college that are ready to play professionally somewhere. The NCAA has nothing to do with it. They are an option if a player doesn't think he's ready for the pros. The NBA is the one that doesn't let them go into the league until they are 1 year removed from high school, or 19. The NCAA does not make players to college, that is the NBA.

That was a solid podcast. Should be required listening for the fans that can only see an ISU basketball team and players in a vacuum.

I was really sad when he left. Felt like he was redefining what “fundamentals” were for the modern game.

The NBA also doesn’t make elite HS players go to college. The GLeague option has always existed for elite prospects where they have the opportunity to earn unlimited endorsement money on top of GLeague salary. And obviously the overseas option has always existed which RJ Hampton recently elected. And that is why those ******** about Zion W’s inability to legally monetize his stay at Duke in addition to full cost of attendance are clueless.

The professional leagues do everything they can to insinuate this impression.

The NCAA is a regular punching bag so blaming them is easier.
