When i talked to Blake Slaughter, He told me that when he talked to Sam Mcguffie, he was really considering ISU beacuse his girlfriend was to be a track star here. However i think it is a longshot now

CrossCyed--great statement about Hawai'i there--I've been saying that all season. They have zero statement wins and don't play anyone of that caliber this season at all. They're going to go into that BCS game and just get manhandled.

For the record, you're the second person to post that thought, and two points:

A. Boise State actually had a statement win over an Oregon State team last season that won 10 games and beat USC. Where is that win in Hawai'i's schedule? Nonexistent, I promise you.

B. That Oklahoma team was one of the worst conference champions to ever play in the BCS. I would compare them to the Pitt team that Utah got to beat up on the year they were in the BCS. (As a side note, I would've loved to have seen an Auburn-Utah game that year.)
