Here with my son, what is going on tomorrow? Figured we would find a place to watch the WV game, but really have no other plans.

We are going to the Alamo and the fan experience. We don't know for sure where we are going to park or anything though.

Is there truly no official Cyclone Fanatic tailgate or pre-game event? :(

Not sure what the age of the OP son is but I would recommend the electronic scooters. Those things were a blast, but you have to be over 18 to ride those. There is a pretty sweet jungle gym/park next to the Tower of the Americas that would probably be fitting for ages 5-12.

Williams explained why on his radio show with Ross Peterson the other day - every bar in town was trying to gouge them on pricing. He said if he were to have one it would have been like an $80 cover per person to recoup their losses, which he didn't think was right. Kudos to CW on that move.

Yeah it sucks CWilly couldn't get anything for a reasonable price.

I'm going to walk around downtown after breakfast, watch Purdue/Auburn somewhere for a bit, then Alamo. Grabbing food before heading to the stadium.

There are tons of parking garages along the riverwalk and just north of the grand hyatt. They all have signs for $10 event parking. Seems like you could use those for the whole day.

We were thinking of that. We have 3 kids ages 7-12 with us. Tough to do a lot of planning as we are dealing with anxiety disorder and sensory perception disorder. We will do our best. Wanted to give them the tailgate experience.

When we were at the pep rally yesterday our youngest was going nuts. All that sound and the number of people are sensory overload for him. He's been to a football game before, WVU, and was a bit crazy. He made it through though.

I've been to two pre-tailgate events hosted by ISU, I can't believe I didn't learn my lesson after the first one. The last one was in Memphis 2012 and was a complete trainwreck.

I've seen plenty of of under 18 kids riding those.

We took our 7 year old to the park near the tower. It was a great break from the business. Now we are heading to the tailgating lots.
