Him and Bowen have been studs, and are keeping me optimistic that the defense may do something by the end of the year. As long as they don't continue making late hits
The future definitely looks bright, especially when it appears the defense is already having to carry the team. If the much touted "O" could keep the "D" off the field and score points in the second half I think the defense would be even better.
If we could just get Bowen to make those open field tackles, instead of getting juked, and passed by for big gains. Granted, the man's AMAZING. But he tackles just like the rest of the clones in the open field. Poorly.
Bowen had been leading the nation in tackles through like 3 weeks of football. Just think of how much more he would have had if you add in all the missed tackles.
