He's a very hard worker who is going to push Foster and Conditt to the max. This guy might not play significant minutes for us, but if he can help out Foster and Conditt, that's a plus. We haven't had a great practice guy that helps the big men in a long time and it might be this guy.

He also is friends with a guy that's rumored to be transferring from Marquette. This could help lure that guy from Marquette to Ames..

Just curious, is there an article or something that mentions this rumor? I read a tweet a few days ago saying he was staying at Marquette.

Per 40 minutes, 2 seasons:
15.8 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.2 ast, 1.0 blk, 5.2 PF … .603 FG%, but .476 FT% (!)

I like it. Seems active and athletic.

I don't think they'd all have to play. We typically have 8-10 guards and only 4-5 of them play. I wouldn't mind having 5 bigs on the team at one time. I'd rather have that than the 2-3 Prohm usually had and praying they all stay healthy the entire season and stay out of foul trouble.

Considering we don't know if Conditt will improve again, and Foster is coming off what has been a nagging injured foot surgery, I say bring on the bigs! Now for 2 knockdown SHOOTERS!

That's fair.
They both seem like upgrades, but there are 90 billion guys entering the portal. Doesn't hurt to see who's out there.
But again, they both seem like upgrades, and that's only a good thing.

I'm no mathematician, but that number feels high.

I appreciate the optimism but we won two games last year, we don’t need a “great practice guy”. We need dudes that can compete in the Big 12. Hopefully this kid can be that.

I don't think we should be bagging on any player still on the roster. First of all they are kids, secondly they didn't hire a crap coach that ruined everything. I would contend that we don't really know anything about these kids.

thing is you do need quality practice guys. The only way to improve this summer and give Conditt/Foster some experience vs legit size is to play against it. Last year ISU was lacking size and was having trouble even having practice let alone with college level size.
CTO isn't done complete some of the bench and focus recruiting on the top transfers with the final couple of schollys. Those will take time and effort into April.

I'm not doubting you but how do we know anything about his work ethic?

Read some articles today about him when he was a prospect in high school and hard work and work ethic were reoccurring themes. That and JStanz mentioned that in his article he wrote about him.

There are also some highlight videos of him which show some of his effort, but as we know those don't paint a whole picture.
