Nope, not into jewlery, especially on Men. Heck I don't even wear my wedding ring.

There aren't "Class" rings anymore, just THE University ring, which I cannot say I'm a real big fan of. I wanted a ring, but I can't justify the cost of the ring, given my distaste for the particular design, so no ring for me right now

What does it cost? I'd never wear it, but I think it might be cool to have.

Bought it, wear it everywhere. Love it.

I really wish people would buy into the University ring concept. Some of the ring stories I hear from the Aggies are awesome (like losing the ring while on a tour of duty in Japan, having another Aggie find it in a pawn shop, and buy/ship it back to the States with his own money). Would be nice to have a sense of family like that with Iowa State.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to the concept of a University Ring, I just don't like the current ring. Yeah it's supposed to have all of these ties to the University, but I just don't like the design.

And as Nesbits pointed out, yeah in excess of $800 (I'd want Gold with a Rubbie chip...) so I may end up buying one eventually to sit next to my high school class ring (which I still wear on occasion for S&G's), but I've got a lot bigger fincial needs right now so it's pretty low on my priority list

Problem is ISU is known for its ag school. Unless you are thinking about stories like: lost ring...and finger...while working on the auger, son found it years later while cleaning out the bin before he left for his first year at ISU.

I was thinking more along the lines of Billy Crystal in "City Slickers" when he lost his watch.
