Just for semantics sake; no high school football recruit who graduates spring of 2007 can actually sign a national letter of intent until the first Wednesday in February 07. These 2 kids are just verbally committed to the Dark Side. Drew Tate was verbally committed to Texas A & M once, Herb Grigsby to Arkansas once, etc. They changed their minds due to coaching changes, or for other reasons.

A verbal commitment is only as good as the paper it is written on :0) %-6

Fellas Fellas, let us not fret about these two potential good recruits. Although they are going to that school in the Eastern part of the state, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will amount to much, here are a list of such great recuits that went to Iowa and didn't do a darn thing:

Nic Rahfeldt (brother Matt started on the line for ISU)
Ben Cronin (First team All-State)
Blake Larson (one of the top lineman in the nation out of hs)
Aaron Greving (had just a couple good games, one being in the Alamo Bowl a few years back)
Calvin Davis (still has one year to prove himself)

I have seen the Sandeman kid play a few times and if he is considered the top recruit we have in Iowa this year it is certainly a down year for prospects in Iowa. What position do they want him to play for the hawks?

I have also seen Sandeman play, and he's pretty good. Not as good as Chris Ivory (WR from Bettendorf with many records that currently plays for Harper Jr College in IL), but he will probably be a stud. We have the other WR of the trio from Bettendorf...Euseph Messiah, so hopefully he shows him up in the next couple years. Bettendorf LOOKS like the Hawkeyes for crying out loud, did we really expect to get Sandeman?
