I must have been watching another game than some of you. Calling Zeb ineffective is a bit of a stretch. He was 4 of 10. Butler had one drop off of his chest on the deep out on 3rd and 25, and Butler had a better than 50% chance to catch that deep post route. Zeb also intentionally threw one into the first row. The only pass that was bad was the throw in the flat that he bounced 7 yards in front of the receiver, I think it was Butler again. Both of Zeb's drive went down the field and were stalled by penalties or drops. Even the Hoks that were around me were surprised at how we started moving the ball again. Also DM had a good run while Zeb was in. Unfortunately it was also called back by penalty.
As far as who should be 3rd string, Moore, the kid from Waterloo, has more experience with the play book than Mitchell or Purdy.
