Sheesh. Soon I'll be out of the CF "time to propose" zone.
Wife and I were ready to be engaged at 24, but life circumstances held it off until we were 27, so you got a long way to go to catch up with some of us.

I don't think there is a problem with getting married while you're pretty young. That's fine. We were both 22 when we got engaged, married at 23.
I do think there is a problem with having planned children while you're pretty young. Planned kids at 18?! NO THANKS.

Do NOT hurry to have kids. Be young and married and have fun for a while. Kids are awesome, but they change EVERYTHING!
girl we went to high school with had a planned kid at 19 or 20. I was like dis gon be good.
7 years and two kids later, they're still married and seem very happy. I'm glad I was wrong.
Hubby & I both had our kids before the age of 25. He was 40, I was 39 when we married, and we were empty-nesters within six years of blending our family. We have really enjoyed the ability to start going on real vacations, get season tickets, that sort of thing.
Some people opt to have the fun sans kids when they're young, some opt for post-kid fun. Some choose to never have kids at all. It's not a one-size-fits-all kind of deal.![]()
Would be nice to be youngish still when the kids leave the house.
I know I want to get married, not sure I want to have kids.Do NOT hurry to have kids. Be young and married and have fun for a while. Kids are awesome, but they change EVERYTHING!
I found a cockroach in my house this morning. That's not uncommon at all in Hawaii. They tend to pop up everywhere. But now I'm super paranoid and open every cabinet and closet door like it's a surprise attack.

I saw a lady drive down Duff Ave in the turning lane at lunch. She was going down it for about a mile before cutting off someone and getting back into the normal lane. Wasn't surprised to see a lady from foreign country driving once I caught up to her. Have fun with the extra traffic in Ames everyone.
And then there are those poor planners who have their first kid at 18 and will have their last graduate HS when they are 58.
Yes, I am sure I will never get to see Europe.
One. It is a first family - second family deal. I wouldn't trade them for a whole fistful of trips to Europe.Yikes! 22 between first & last? How many in-between?
