I went to a wedding this weekend. Pretty much everyone who went to the ceremony was dressed appropriately, but at the reception a large group of dudes in shorts and t-shirts showed up.
At what wedding is it cool to show up with a backwards flat brimmed hat on? Seriously? And this was a direct relation to the bride.
I remember a wedding I attended where someone wore jorts and a sleeveless shirt. (I believe he was the SO of a bridesmaid, so perhaps he was "dragged" to this, but c'mon!)
The most recent wedding I went to was out in rural western Nebraska. (Sargent) They got married at the town gathering hall, which was also where the buffet reception was held. You could tell there were some farmers/ranchers that brought their "best suit" out of moth balls for this, and I was fine with that. It was the teenage girl with the black concert shirt and denim cutoffs I rolled my eyes at.
