Anyone else super excited to see the human highlight reel known as Rahshon Clark.....
Im assuming that Mac will have something up his sleeve to get him the ball and some dunks -to get the crowd going.
If you have seen any UNI games in the past you will know he has been known to design plays for star players ------should be interesting

i know he runs a slow down, three point lobbing offence so I would not expect to see clark dunk often. The lack of the fast break will eliminate the amazing highlight reel stuff of the last couple years. In addittion the lack of any proven gaurd will kill his chance at success in this area. Just think who was most responcible for the dunk that ranked #1 on ss, wb or rc?

Maybe Corey McIntosh will be a point guard who makes wise decisions and remember teams don't get points for degrees of difficulty... last year we'd make a great play and the next play would look like something out of a Dave Chappelle show...

Evident how? except for the putback dunks, how many of clarks dunks were not on a fast break? How often did uni use a press that resuted in fast break points? Highlight dunks by in large come from fast break points. By running a slow down offense (which he does run, value every posesion etc.) you eliminate most opportunities to have a spectacular dunk. Maybe not in that trampoline basketball or in and one, but in real bball, that is how it works.

So GMac was lying to Wes Johnson and other recruits when he told them we're going to play more uptempo? He was lying to the Cyclone nation when he told us at his press conference that he wasn't going to pigeon hole the players into a certain style. GMac played the way he did at UNI because he used great execution and fundamentals as an equalizer to other places with more sheer talent and he did it well. I watched a fair amount of UNI baskteball and I saw Eric Coleman dunk it more than a few times. UNI executed their offense until an opening was there and then a guy like Coleman(or Clark) with athletic ability flushed it. Dunks don't just some from fast break opportunities. I saw ISU get dunked on in many ways last season.

The question was highlight ducks, and that is what Im talking about, not the one step el generico. He said he was going to try to keep all players, and said he was going to mold the team around the players, so he may be lying. Of course WJ has no room to complain since we were his only major offer. Exciting dunks come on fast break plays, the kind of dunks we can hope to see now are the type that does not get the crowd on thier feet, a glorified layup

That was actually one of the FEW things that annoyed me about Clark... he would go for the highlight reel and sometimes miss the dunk when he had an easy layup in the bag.

Dunks not ducks

"The question was highlight ducks, and that is what Im talking about" I sure hope we don't see any ducks or bricks or el genercio's or doscombobulated or whatever. I want some points. I think the crowd will get excited. Do remember cheering for a dunk from Staple...yeah you say...this one step glorified layup? ::) . A dunk always....always for the home team gets people excited. Don't think for one minute ISU fans are going to sit and not cheer when we make a basket? ISU fans know basketball...but ISU fans expect good disciplined basketball.

So never saw the Fizer dunk over Mihm? That was a two step in your face slam that did more than ignite the crowd a little bit. Review the transcript of the presser and show me where he said he was going to keep all players. He said he would fit a sytem around the returning players and I imagine he'll do that around the four that are left. And where did I say Wes Johnson was complaining about anything. That was just a bunch of garbage you through in to change the subject and flame GMac and WJ because your wrong. Wes Johnson said GMac told him we are going to play more uptempo and that's what I was referring too.

I saw the fizer dunk, have seen it many times, he was moving on that, it wasn't a set play. Regardless, it was fizer!!! As much as I like clark, fizer was fizer and that would be the man who should have won player of the year. It is like saying that stevie should be able to run a cut back against OK this year cause Troy used to do it. Sorry, two completely different people there. Fizer was 6'8" like 270 and was coming at him like a frieght train. I would have to assume that one would be less likely to cower in fear with the rather slender clark coming at him. In addittion that is one dunk in 6 years, no telling when the next memorable half court dunk will be.

Dont make stupid assumptions do u really think UNI had the depth or talent to have a Run-Gun offense?? Didnt think so! So check yo self before you reck yo' self!

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, we have a winner in the contest to find a non ISU educated cyclone fan. Look "lil'" hows about you pick up a dictionary, learn a few real words and while you are at it maybe come up with an original thought, preferably not one that is 10 years old and filled with mispelled words? If you like to rehash the past you piece o' you know what i got something you can suck.
