That being said, Warley looks more like a guy you bring in to fill a discrete role rather than somebody you expect to transform a program. He's a high-floor, low-ceiling PG intended either to complement Tamin in their mutual senior years or some hedge against Tamin testing the NBA waters early. You're going to need a second ballhandler either way with Gilbert set to depart, so here Warley would be to do that role.
He'd be a "bridge" to when some of the younger guards or additional transfer are ready to take over.
Unless he uses his redshirt year to figure out his shot in which case look out...
