That's awesome, what a huge victory. I really wish I could get to Ames on Saturday, it would be a fun day. Stupid real world.

Sounds like some Hilton Magic for volleyball tonight!

That was awesome! such a fun time being courtside and rushing the court. The texas coach was a *****. it was funny to wave at him and chant his name. Also destinee hooker has a little potty mouth after what she had to say to me and my buddy she also gave up the whatever hand signal...class! . It was fun to get in there heads! Because it obviously worked.

The Texas coach really blew it for them. They had a comfortable lead in the 4th game and the crowd was somewhat out of the game when he decided to argue the call. It was the stupidest thing he could have done because all he accomplished was inciting the crowd was on fire for the rest of the match.

You guys must have really gotten into Hooker's head as she had probably 4 or 5 mental mistakes.

Tonight was my first volleyball game and I was even more impressed with the team and atmosphere than I thought I would be. Johnson is an amazing coach. The team was not only fundamentally sound, but seemed to be a step ahead and rarely out of position. Texas clearly had more talent, but you could tell that we wanted it more and were willing to do whatever necessary to win.

I got nervous when we went into the 4th game as you could tell they were starting to wear us down. Their bench was quite a bit deeper. But our crowd kept the team fired up and they pulled it out.

For anyone who hasn't been to a game - GO. You won't regret it. Volleyball played at this level is amazing to watch.

What a great evening to be a Cyclone. This is the first time I left an ISU sports event hoarse in a long time.
It was obvious that our Libero Ashley Mass actually intimidated Texas, by digging out anything she could get close to. Mass was all over the frikkin' court, and it played on Texas' heads.
Best night of Cyclone sports in years...

The whole team got into their heads. It was a sight to behold. Texas literally didn't know what to do. Once they lost the 2nd game, it was struggle for them. I will give credit - the rebounded exceptionally well in the 4th game. And after watching them, I'm surprised they did. The 2nd game loss was a shock to their system and they didni't know how to react in the 3rd, which lead to that thumping.

I hate to say it, but this is one of those "good losses" for the Longhorns. Perfect timing too. They still control the Big XII (by only 1 game now, however) and only 4-5 matches left before NCAA time. This gets their attention and they will be a force to be reconed with from here on out.

What I especially love is our ladies now clearly have the abillity to come back from adversity. Early in te seaon you saw us give up good sized leads. Now you see us overtake big leads, and in crunch situations. A young team that doesn't quit and knows how to win. That can't be overlooked or underestimated.

Most of the MBB and WBB teams were there, and I saw plenty of swimmers, runners and gymnasts, though they weren't there as a team function.
