Becuase it mitigates the risk of injury, at least in a statistical sense.

You don't see any injury difference between guys averaging 35 minutes a game and guys who never play? Do the backups in football usually sustain all the injuries playing a couple special teams snaps a game?

What about Houston? I just saw you mention them in a post. Were their injuries to key players or the 13th guy on the bench?

Who averaged 35 minutes/game? Is there statistical injury difference?

Houston currently has players averaging about the same minutes as ISU. Roberts sat out the Big 12 tourney but who else has been injured? I don't know when he got injured but if it was during a first half I guess Kelvin Sampson needs to take a good look in the mirror.

Last year they had injuries.

Bill Self had 4 guys averaging 30 minutes/game but outside of KJ Adams getting hurt in the middle of the game (should he have not been playing?) didn't have any season ending issues that I'm aware of.

In football CMC is lauded on here for working in subs early and often but they had huge injuries last year and had to play, wait for it: walk ons. And the run defense was bad no matter how much pt they got.

I could probably look up more to find out but no I guess I'm not seeing a difference with this immediate actual information of things that happened.
