Patio thoughts

My wife and I are considering having a new patio installed this spring. I want a colored and stamped concrete one and she wants a paver stone one installed. My only fear is that the concrete one will eventually crack. I was just wondering if anybody has any insight on the durability of each one. Any ideas?

I don't like the paver one that was insatlled in our backyard before we bought the house. I don't think he compacted it very well so it's uneven now, and weeds constantly grow through the cracks despite monthly doses of Round-up.

Personally, I'd go with the stamped, full-depth colored concrete with some control joints cut in.

Concrete cracks. There is no getting around that. If you have the patio installed by a quality landscaping company you won't have an issue... and if you do most of them have warranties and they will fix it for free.

Doing this as well this Spring. Gonna go with the paver brick myself.
