Hey guys,

I'm going to Ames tomorrow night for a friend's 21st birthday, and was wondering where the nearest place for overnight parking is (as I know Ames seems to get off on towing people). The party is at the Towers/Legends, and I'm staying at another friend's apartment there. Thanks guys!

Find the nearest lot that says no parking all days all hours and park there. :jimlad: In all seriousness, someone correct me if I am wrong, I believe you can park at the Gerdin parking ramp on the weekends for free. It is about a 10 minute walk to legacy tower. You could also find parking on the street in the residential areas around north of Welch but you will have to deal with moving it overnight so you don't get ticketed. IIRC one side of the street is Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and the opposite side is Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. Just pay close attention to the signs on the street. Hope this helps!

This map is good to find a place on campus to park. ISU Online Campus Map Check parking lots on the left side and it will show you all the parking lots on campus. Stanton Ave, where Legacy is, is on the bottom just a little left of the center. You can park in the red yellow and orange as long as it doesn't say all days all hours on the lot or individual spots. You can park there for free until 7 AM Monday morning. The green lots are also available but you have to pay.

You can park on welch or stanton over night and not get a ticket. I havent got one in months doing that. If you do get a ticket it wont be more than 15$.

Thanks for the help! There's a few different places nearby where it looks like I can park.

Appreciate all the input guys!

Well as it turns out, I didn't need the info. Car starts ALL week, and then tonight when I'm actually going somewhere, it won't even start with a jump.
