Welcome to the first On That Note of the New Year. OTN is a weekly music post from myself, @CycloneRulzzz, and @cyclones500.
Last week's topic was Late Musicians 2018. Review it here: https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/threads/on-that-note-late-musicians-2018.244509/
Trying to keep it a bit lighter this time, topic-wise, as everyone tends to get back into their normal routine after the holidays.
This week we're doing "More Cowbell"
Post up to 5 songs you think of when you think of songs containing a cowbell
I'll hit the first 5 that I think of:
#1. Grazing in the Grass - Hugh Masekela. This was a #1 hit in 1968 from the South African Band leader. Literally filled with cowbell!
#2. Honky Tonk Women - Rolling Stones. The unique intro is highly dependent on the cowbell. Another number one hit - this from summer of '69.
#3 I Call Your Name - Beatles. Several choices from the Fabs, but in this one the cowbell seems the most out front in the mix to me.
#4 Mississippi Queen - Mountain
#5 Down On the Corner - Creedence Clearwater Revival
