Nice test for the Cyclones before the big one on Sunday.
Flo/Intermat
125 - Kysen vs #23/26 Lorenzo - a solid test for Kysen. These are the matches he has struggled with in the past, but he has been solid this season.
133 - EFrost vs #23/22 Belton - should be a commanding win here. Frost was vulnerable to the big move in Vegas and that is was Belton presents. I think he avoids that for bonus.
141 - JFrost vs #16/19 Schwartz - no idea if Schwartz goes in this one. He hasn’t wrestled the last couple of OU duals. He’s very tough on the mat, so JFrost will have to win the TD battle. OU’s back up 141 did beat Jordan Titus recently.
149 - Paniro vs #11/13 McDougald - I like the way Paniro matches up here, though he had some very close calls at the Cyclone open. McDougald likes to mix it up and Paniro generally isn’t about the funk.
157 - Chittum vs NR/NR - OU has wrestled several 157’s, but I expect Chittum to bounce back in a big way after a headscratching loss today.
165 - Riggins vs #30/29 Picklo - I like how Riggins battled vs Cam Steed today. This is a very winnable ranked match against a funky Picklo. If Riggins can avoid a big move I think he wins this one.
174 - MJ vs #9/8 Sax - they had a very close match last year at Big 12’s. Great opportunity for MJ, we’ll see what he’s made of for these next few weeks. Sax is a tough match up for him.
184 - Bockman vs #21/22 Parker - another solid test for Bockman who has been very solid this season. Think his straight forward and technical style matches up well here.
197 - Schon vs NR/NR Hill - no idea what to expect in this one. Former Hawk Hill started off the year ranked but has slid since.
Heavy - Herrera vs #19/19 Mora - another winnable ranked match for one of our lower ranked guys. Mora is experienced and is a tough match up but peanut won the bracket today that Mora was in.
Guessing we see a similar score to WVU, something along the lines of 24-13 good guys, setting up a Sunday showdown against an OSU squad that has looked nearly untouchable.
