***Official ISU vs. Baylor Game Thread***

Can we just play every day?

Great opportunity today. In terms of the NCAA tournament, a win helps tremendously but a loss doesn't hurt too bad. The pressure is on Baylor.

A loss doesn't even slow things down for us.

Pressure really is on Baylor. If they lose tonight, the talk that they are a soft team that can't beat good teams will be loud and inescapable. They absolutely have to win this game to look like the team they want to be.

Since Baylor doesn't respond well to pressure, I think that bodes well for us.

Agreed. Baylor has been struggling pretty badly in their last 5 games. They had to hang on for a 5 point win over Texas, they were gifted a 3 point win by A$M, and they got lucky to hang on for a 4 point win over Okie State. Then they got their ***** handed to them by Kansas and Mizzou in games where the Baylor team simply threw in the towel and quit. From what I have seen recently this Baylor team is just barely holding on late in the season. Not sure if it is emotional fatigue, physical fatigue, or mental fatigue, but they haven't been playing hard, haven't been playing smart, and they certainly haven't been playing with much emotion down the stretch.

If ISU can jump on them early.... this game could be over pretty quick. Baylor is in a real tough spot.

Just think how bad they would be struggling if they didn't have great coaching.

I fully expect to win this game - assuming we shoot the ball reasonably well.

This game could get really fun if Babb finds his shot, and Allen continues his hot streak. CW was pointing out that Christopherson also has a hot hand against the Bears.

Imagine Royce's field day, if they come out to defend the 3. It kinda hinges on that, doesn't it?

I think a big factor that often gets overlooked is Scotty. If he is looking to shoot the spot up 3, we are much better off. He has been trying to drive the lane so much and I really think there are games we could have won (OSU) or won by more if he knows his roll. He's such a good shooter I just don't understand his thought process sometimes.

I think we are hitting our stride. Our offense is great when we get it inside, make quick passes, and get open looks. We will hit those 3's pretty consistently. I am just always afraid we slip back to the "throw it around the outstide and jack up a fadeaway 3" offense. I love it when Royce catches it on the low block. He either hits a cutter, a makes a pass that leads to a pass for and open 3.

Yeah.... Drew has obviously been coaching up "Mr. NBA", Perry Jones III as he has gone 3 for 20 from the floor in their last 2 games. The biggest waste of talent I have seen in a long time but hey.... he can shoot all of the jumpers he wants tonight if he keeps tossing up those bricks.

Yeah, he'll have a banner night against Babb, that's for sure!:jimlad:

What we have here is a failure to communicate. (Think West Virginia accent.)

Does anyone know when the team is traveling/traveled to Waco?

I like our chances to hurt that zone if they choose to run it. Two things beat zones good passing big men and outside shooting. Sounds like our boys.

I don't like our defensive chance though, they are long and will give our guys some trouble down low. Hope Ejim brings it against PJIIII.

According to Booker's twitter, they left yesterday some time.
