Ha! Not really. I just know this is the Jihadist sect of Cyclone Fandom and dont mind pushing back a little.
Plus, Im taking a little me time today and decided it was a good day to fight with strangers on the internet.
So wait.. You think Pollard's decision was highly determined by whether or not the next coach would go to the same church as him? LOL that's an insane theory.
I'm not saying that Pollard didn't want to get a very high character guy and the stereotype of all Christians is that they are of high character, but Jamie didn't just look up "D1 coaches that are Christians" on Wikipedia and find Steve Prohm at the top of the list.
I like our chances. I think that Steve has found a lineup that is sort of working and TCU is a bad enough team that we could get up by enough where the last 3-4 minutes of the game can't determine the game.
That's highly important though. There isn't a shred of evidence out there that proves we can win a tight game, so as long as we can be up by 8-10+ with under 4 minutes left, I think we win.
I think so too and I hope so because I want to see these guys get a win.
A win would go a long way for these guys and they truly deserve it with everything they've endured this year.

I don't think we can build that large a lead late. Maybe in the first few minutes, but not in the 2nd half.
Yeah you're right that that's tough to ask for. I just find it easier to see us make a small run late to push it to 8-10 points rather than show actual maturity / competency and not s*** our pants with the game on the line.
Yeah. Man, I really hope that we can pull it off tomorrow.
And not because I think a win will or even should save Prohm's job. I hope that decision has already been made, but I think about a guy like Solomon Young and all of his injury issues during his time at ISU, and he deserves at least one win. Same with a guy like JCL, who probably could have gone to a lot of different schools but chose to came to Iowa State. Same with all of our players, transfers or four-year players.
And yes; I want Steve Prohm to win at least one game in the Big 12 this season. I'm sure that sentiment will get me a couple of "dumb" ratings from toxic posters, but CSP deserves at least one win in what I hope is his last season.
50/50. The players having been playing with great effort the past several games. If they do the same on Saturday, they have a good chance to win. Personally, I don’t see a huge talent gap between the two teams. A win would be awesome and really lift the team’s spirits.
Samuel gives us fits and Miles should be back. I expect a close game, but if we start clanking 3’s, where is our offense coming from? If we hit over 12 three pointers, we may have enough at home to get one.
I can't believe I have to say this, to what I assume is a grown person, but an Executive getting ready to hire an employee that is going to be compensated in the millions, to vet that person, including their personal life, is regular M.O.
It isn't like he googled "Christian Coaches" but when the looking at the list of possible candidates, preferring some and eliminating others based off their Spaghetti Monster belief system is my issue. It really isn't a theory, but common knowledge that Pollard picked Prohm over others because he "was a man of faith". It isn't an issue if it turns out like Campbell, but when you fail AGAIN on a coaching hire, and one of your main criteria's has nothing to do with actual basketball, the optics of it are poor.
Speaking of common knowledge. It is well known that TJ was Pollards choice and Prohm only popped on the scene due to Leath. Please explain how that fits with your "common knowledge" that Pollard went after Prohm due to faith. I think you are wanting to push an angle and saying things that aren't necessarily there.
The way I've interpreted the goings-on of that search (from Jeremy and others at the time) was that Pollard wanted TJ to be coach, while Leath wanted him to conduct a full search. Prohm ultimately won the job after interviewing well.
Is it possible religion came up in the interview? Sure. I just have a hard time believing that JP or Prohm would talk about any of those details with anyone. Maybe a select few individuals.
And I can't believe I have to say this to a grown person either, but if you honestly believe that Jamie Pollard chose Prohm solely based on his religious beliefs and that they'd be able to hang out at Church together, get help lol.
Do I believe you in thinking that it might've been a great add on that Prohm was a man of faith? Sure. Do I think Jamie sat Prohm and Coach Campbell down and asked them, "What do you think of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ?" No.
I read this in Pollard's voice. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to focus on work this afternoon.
I agree with you 100%. The one poster wants to make it appear that it’s the main reason he was hired. It may have had a small factor, if it came up, but was not the major reason.
