Very glad I got to work from home today. Good chance I would have been stuck in that.
Ask him what they charge and double it if it seems way too low.Speaking of shoveling. What would you offer to a teen kid to shovel per/hour or per house/driveway?
Just little kids in my hood but old neighbor friend (not in the hood anymore but 2-3 miles way) has a teen and they watered my plants while I was gone. Now thinking maybe I should see if he wants to shovel Casa Boxster next year.

Oh, wow. Ours came back around 9:45 a.m., following a brief power outage (which I took to be Midland performing some substation switching activity).Still no internet mediacom is now saying 5pm
When I married my wife, I took over shoveling her grandparents' driveway. They paid me $40 every time I did it because that is what they were paying a company to do it. This was 10 years ago. Just giving a reference point. This was in Ames.Yeah, hourly really won't be good, probably a generous per event thingie would be good. Grandkid of a good friend of mine (died a couple of years ago) so I'll be looking to overpay if anything.
I was thinking about going to out to shovel, but then I just looked and saw I'm already seeing some pavement on the sidewalk. Think I'll sit this one out and let Mother Nature handle it.
some of those cars aren't going the right direction
Have 2 kids cleaning out my drive now. I told them to just get behind the cars and the end of the driveway. I will get the rest with the snow blower. Will give them 20 each because this is wet heavy snow.Ask him what they charge and double it if it seems way too low.
#2 can have that same problem with any garage can't you? If they just build it too small? We've lived in this house 20 years, and I have 3 things I hate.
#1 Tile-We were too late in the built to change it. I hate tile/grout.
#2 Side Load Garage-It looks good being on the side of the house. It's not deep enough, I'd like to see it 2-3 feet longer. When I had a truck for 9 months, I had to park it sideways to fit.
#3 West facing driveway. We get no sun on the driveway at all. The neighbors driveway will be cleared for days and ours will still have snow/ICE.
Sorry, this is off topic but it got me thinking when I about fell on my ass going to get the mail.
Was watching this guy drive around I-80 in western Iowa at 3am last night. Insane blowing snow at some points.
Get 2 hrs of overtime of work that way!You know that’s over 10 hours right
