Yes I am crazy. Yes, I know my wife would kill me if I said this to her as I am currently non-weight bearing on one foot due to a surgery leaving her to do any snow removal. But...

I am kind of jealous of those of you getting the worst of it. The extremes and changes are what I love about weather.

No reason for snow removal. It’s gonna blow around until it gets warm enough to melt. Just let it be.

Off the grid
The city of Ames electric territory snakes through that neighborhood up there. I have been told that the customers in north Ames that are out of power are Midland customers.

That's our situation. We're on Midland and they are well aware we're without power. We get status updates every couple hours.

Planning to do very minimal snow removal once it stops today. Probably clear a quick path on the sidewalk for the kiddos going to school tomorrow but with a high of 46 tomorrow it's going to melt pretty quick I think and not worth the effort of clearing it like I would if it was going to stay around for awhile.

That was me about 6 years ago. My wife really appreciates the job of snow removal and mowing now. She didn't realize what it was like

We have a couple kids that go around clearing snow. It is really refreshing to see kids earning extra money like that. I always have them clean even if it is only an inch or so. Teaches them work ethic and responsibility.

Yeah, supposed to be 75 next week, so Mother Nature is going to take care as far as I am concerned.
