Hope everyone make it home safely it is getting pretty crazy in Ames now. Guessing there will be power outages in some areas that get a lot of wet snow and extreme winds.

Out and about in Ames this morning. Concrete is wet underneath the snow. Roads in town are good, main roads that is SUV shakes every so often from the wind. Worst blowing snow conditions I’ve seen in years!

Anyone in central iowa who mediacom is it out? Ours went out during the game and not back.
Yes, north Ames. Although I'm not sure about the time it went out, as I only noticed it overnight when the security cameras alerted to being offline.

At least we have power (for now) in my part of town.

We lost power at 12:30 a.m. and it came back at 4:30 a.m. Not terrible. House only dropped into the low 60s, temperature-wise. Glad it's back today and I can work from home.

Went to 7 am Ash Wednesday service in Ames and only 20 people were there. Heard some folks in Story City lost power.

What is considered North Ames these days? Northridge/Northridge Heights? We live just east of the mall 3 blocks so is that North Ames?

I'm out in the very West side of Waukee (across 80 from Rubes) and I have zero idea how much snow we actually got because parts of my lawn are drifted up to my knee and others I can see bare grass. Looking at 511 - 80 seems to be an absolute mess behind us, and I can understand why.
