Was having this discussion with some coworkers the other day, and one of them raised an interesting point. Is Izzo the most overrated coach in college basketball? Everyone’s perception of him is based off one run 25 years ago
Overrated is always subjective but he’s been to 8 FF’s and has 700+ Ws, So “one run 25 years ago” isn’t really an accurate statement.

Judging coaches or players on championships alone has always been reductive but it reaches silly territory when it's based off a single elimination tournament.

Was at the games in Seattle. Not sure why Liberty was a pick for the upset. #25 is good, but other than that nothing.

Yep that 25 point lead would evaporate if they could defend lol

Man if only every 15 and 16 seed could defend every team would be upset!
A lot closer when I made that comment. There's something about a sizeable lead that makes the shots a lot easier to fall. I respect them, as they clearly won a good league, but I think ISU can beat them if we play a good game.

If you guess press I totally agree and if you play a zone you will 100% win. Bryant went to a zone and then when they stopped that’s when the game got out of hand. Sparty can’t beat a zone

I think our resume shows that if we can defend you man-up without helping too much, we're tough to score against. The key is the success of when we decide to pressure. If we get the turnovers regularly, it's game over. If you find the weakness, it might be game over too. Hope we get to see it.

Totally agree, we only have 2 positions that’s we can clearly out athletes you and that’s not super reliable. Very turnover prone and if you press hard I agree. Only ways sparty wins is if we go over 30% from 3, they get out and run or if Jace goes off. Sparty is easily the deepest team in the tourny but that has its pros and cons.

Agree, totally hope we get to see it!

Why did they put the site with the most likely blowouts in the solo timeslot today? There’s a good chance there isn’t watchable basketball until the 4:00 slot today. Then it’s going to be full on split screen worthy action. I’d have thought they’d do better in the ratings to spread out the good games.
