Mid 80s doesn’t feel like heat to me, especially when it takes til almost noon to get to 80.

Are you working out in it all day? Because that might change your opinion.

I’m ready for a frost to kill this stupid crop.

You haven't seen anything until you've seen the sh##show on the Kelly gravel roads between Ames and Huxley with Hwy 69 bridge out...it needs its own thread.
It was nice they oiled them at the start of the project to cut back on some of the dust, but I've never been so ready for road construction to be done. I take that route to Ames and back at least twice a day, and it's been brutal.

Just barely coming down when I left for work around 7 a.m., so won't know how much until I get home. Did remember to close the windows before I left.

Ames Iowa
I just checked our gauge and we had 1.6 inches of rain in north Ames, we had our yard plugged a couple of weeks ago, and the ground just soaked up the water as fast as it fell. We hoping to get out of mowing again this year, but by Monday I am sure this rain will mean more mowing for me.

So Johnston just canceled their homecoming parade tonight due to the risk of severe weather this evening. Am I missing something? There doesn't seem to be much in the forecast that I can see for central Iowa. Northern Iowa along the border is the only place I see anything.
