***Official 2018 NCAA Tourney Thread***

This. Their team and that officiating crew ended Niang's career at ISU. Karma.

Haha, what did officiating have to do with VA being way better from the start of that game, and what kind of payback is it for a team getting dominated by better players?

The handshake line was amazing, the tall, thick guys got beat by the little skinny guys.
Till now that hadn't happened.

I think 'Nova/Georgetown was kind of similar but at least they'd already won a bunch of games to the title game.

Bennett is getting a lot of credit for handling the interviews well. I'm sure he is. But he really doesn't have a choice. His team got their asses kicked. Of course, it was a flukey thing, but wasn't a fluke loss.

hoos a good boy?

already wins for slogan of the tourney

line was 20.5 ... so it was almost 40-point swing. I'm sure that's easily the record for NCAA tournament upsets.

Other quick nuggets:
* That's the only time this season Virginia allowed 70 or more points.
* UMBC scored almost as many points in the second half as Virginia's per-game average points allowed.
* UMBC lost a game earlier this season 83-39 ... to Albany.

I'm still laughing that their mascot is the golden retrievers and their uniforms are golden.
