The problem with that idea is that then you don't have the selling point to more advanced recruits of "immediate playing time".I'm Ok with redshirting freshmen when ever possible.

Why whats up with Miller?Anything on backup backer Jevohn Miller ?
So that rules out Rohach as starting qb, dang!

Just saw a CPR quote from late July saying that he might not name a QB until the end of August.
Amen to that. When I heard this, it almost made me forget about the QB drama. People need to snap out of their Jantz vs. Barnett funk and realize how HUGE this milestone is in the building of this program. If you can redshirt nearly all of a freshman class, that is great news when it comes to player development.PR also feels this way. In the interview today said red shirting all these kids is "a very good thing for the program."

Any word on Standard?
You must not have watched our team lately. As I recall, at one point Woody was the only healthy non-redshirting back. He'll be 5th string, so I wouldn't expect to see him very much.
I wonder if Quan West might have not RS if he hadn't gotten injured? I think he had a real shot at playing this year as a true freshman. 6'4" and 210 lb WR's don't come around all too often.

I think we will see a lot of Standard and Leo.... on special teams
Probably not a bad ploy to keep Tulsa guessing as to who will be at QB, publicly. The team can tell by who is getting the most reps.
